DATALAKE:CONTINGENCY is a collection of AI-generated scenarios, a continuous flow of moving images that explores the tension between nature and technology in search of a new form of coexistence within an organic and balanced system.
Cars, architectural structures, and natural disasters intertwine, giving life to a fluid organism made up of objects, shapes, and configurations that oscillate between spontaneous natural phenomena and artificial devices. The work lies somewhere between a fake documentary and the sensational imagery of television news, immersing the viewer in a vortex of stimuli from an unstable and fragmented universe. Reality becomes a continuous stream of visions and shifting timelines. Natural landscapes alternate with images of enormous television screens, functioning as portals that eventually dissolve into the viewer’s perceived reality, interrupting the process of identification and emphasizing the constructed nature of perception. Everything disassembles and reassembles within a space stretched and altered by time, where each moment becomes the most accurate representation of what is (or is not) real, possible, or impossible. The work invites us to confront this unstable landscape, questioning the role of images and technology in shaping our relationship with reality in the age of post-truth.
