Can I apply to the 3rd edition with a work that is not about artificial intelligence?
Yes, provided it is in any case inherent in the spirit of the initiative which deals with the relationship between art and technological media and which responds to at least one of the themes of the call.
Can I participate in the 3rd edition with a non-technological work?
Yes, as long as the reflection proposed concerns the universe of advanced technologies and the themes of the call.
In which language should I submit the project?
Applications can be sent in Italian and English.
Must the work be unpublished?
Not necessarily, but is important that it has not been exhibited in Rome.
How can I apply for the Salvatore Iaconesi Special Mention Award?
The Salvatore Iaconesi Special Mention Award is part of the main prize but will be selected by a special commission. If you are not selected for this prize, you will still compete for the other prizes.
Will the Romaeuropa Digitalive Award be presented at WeGil?
No, this award will be presented within the 2023 program of the Romaeuropa Festival which, barring unforeseen events, will take place in autumn 2023 at the Mattatoio in Rome.
Can I apply with more than one proposal?
No, multiple projects cannot be submitted.
How do I understand whether to apply to the emerging prize or to the main ones?
There are no pre-established rules, it depends on the sensitivity of the participant.
What happens if I win a prize with a higher economic value than the budget indicated for the production (apart from the fee)?
It is at the discretion of the organization and on the basis of the agreements made at the time of awarding the prize to decide whether to pay the excess to the artist as an artistic fee.
Can I apply the same project to all three categories?
No, it is not possible to participate in the three categories at the same time. In case this happens, only the first sent will be taken into account.
